My thoughts and prayers are with the greatest family I know. You drew your strength from Itsie. Big shoes to fill Bubba. Step up.
Rest In Peace Itsie.

What can I say about Carlota? She was a friend, colleague, mentor, and supporter. We had many laughs together at THHARRIS and shared more frustrations. But it was the support that kept me coming back everyday for work.
She made a huge impact on her students. They both loved and respected her.
Rest In Peace my friend.

Deepest condolences to Carlotta’s Family and Friends.
Taught across the hall from Ms. Mendez for years at T.H. Harris and enjoyed her humor, her teaching style and her supportive friendship.
I remember when I was on one of my tirades with a non responsive class and Ms. Mendez walked over to my classroom, opened my door, walked back to her class and said listen to him, that’s the same way I feel! We all laughed as her actions broke down the tension with humor and a smile.
Another memory is the framed needlepoint of the ‘84 World’s Fair emblem beautifully crafted by Carlota. It is proudly displayed in my breakfast room along with other memorable treasures.
Thank you, Carlota for these memories and for your years of dedicated teaching….you were one of a rare breed!
